Nemesis (Boss Hunt)

help_outlineWhat Nemesis is

Nemesis (Boss Hunt) is the endgame hunting area: 76 creatures inspired by Tibia bosses, such as Myth Ashmunrah, Dangerous Lord Azaram and Rottened Vemiath, spread over 11 areas. They spawn like regular hunt monsters, with loot straight in the corpse, and each one has its own bestiary entry.

You pick the difficulty with your Boss Level, from 1 to 75. The higher the level, the stronger monsters and bosses become, and the bigger the experience, loot and extra loot chances get. Completing the Nemesis bestiaries unlocks higher levels and access to the supreme bosses.

placeHow to get there

  1. In the Rookgaard teleport hub (the same one as the dungeon teleport), step into the portal labeled Nemesis.
  2. You arrive on the Nemesis floor. The NPC Wisteria stands there and adjusts your Boss Level. Talk to her before entering the hunt.
  3. Each portal on that floor leads to one area. On the same floor: Ancient Tombs, Inquisition, Forgotten Knowledge, Grave Danger, The Secret Library, Dream Courts, Feaster of Souls, Ferumbras' Ascension. One floor up: Soul War, Rotten Blood, Demonwing.
visibility
The Nemesis floor itself is already a Boss Level area: when you enter a Boss Hunt area, the Boss Level25  icon shows up next to your character, with your active Boss Level number.

Boss Level is the difficulty you choose. Every character starts at level 1, and every completed Boss Hunt creature bestiary unlocks one more level, up to 75. Reaching the max level takes 74 completed bestiaries.

Boss Level75
This is the Boss Level icon. It shows up next to your character in Boss Hunt areas, and the number in the corner is the level currently applied to you (here, 75). If the number is not what you picked, talk to Wisteria and check with status.

How to change your level

Talk to Wisteria (on the Nemesis floor and in the Nemesis Boss room). Changing is free and has no cooldown:

SayWhat happens
hiShe introduces herself and lists the options.
chooseOpens a window with level 1, the multiples of 5 and your unlocked max.
level 30Sets the level directly (any number between 1 and your max).
statusShows your current level, unlocked max and how many bestiaries you completed.

In a group

  • Each monster locks a level on the first hit and keeps it until it dies.
  • The locked level is the lowest among whoever hit it, their party members (anywhere on the map) and players within 15 sqm of the monster.
  • So everyone in the group must pick the same level: one player on a lower level pulls the whole fight down.

Where Boss Level applies

Boss Level affects Boss Hunt creatures as well as lever bosses, reward bosses and bosstiary bosses, supremes included. The exceptions are the 20 bosses of the ten-boss arenas, which stay normal:

insightsWhat each level changes

Each level above 1 adds these values, linearly:

  • Monster damage: +4% per level.
  • Boss Hunt creature health: +1.5%. Boss health (lever, reward and supremes): +10%.
  • Damage the monster takes: −0.5%.
  • Experience: +1.5%, for everyone who gets exp from the monster.
  • Regular loot chance: +0.5%. The loot message shows it as "boss hunt +X%".

coronavirusTaints

From certain levels on, monsters gain taints: extra abilities that stack. At level 75 all of them are active at once.

LevelTaintEffect
10Dodge5% chance to nullify one of your hits ("X dodged your attack." shows up).
20Power DrainWhen hit, the monster lowers your base skills and magic level by 30% (40% on bosses) for 10 s. 20 s cooldown per monster.
25Life DrainEvery 8 s, 5% chance to drain 10% (25% on bosses) of the max health of everyone within 4 sqm. Each player can only be hit once every 16 s.
30Critical Strike15% chance for the monster's hit to deal ×2 damage.
40Reflect ShieldThe monster reflects the damage it takes, capped at about 1% of your max health per hit.
45Shadow CloneBelow 50% health, 10% chance (50% on bosses) to summon a clone with 25% of its health and ×5 damage.
65Skill CrushWhen hit, the monster drops your base skills and magic level to 5% for 3 s. 30 s cooldown per monster.
70FearBosses only. Every 5 s, 8% chance to fear (uncontrolled walking) everyone within 8 sqm for 1 s.
75DoomMarks a player, who loses almost all their health unless they reach a safe tile in time. See Doom.
bolt
Power Drain and Skill Crush trigger when you hit the monster. In a group, whoever opens the fight usually takes the first drain.

dangerousDoom

Doom is the level 75 taint and the most dangerous one. The monster picks a player within 12 sqm and marks up to 5 safe tiles nearby. The message "DOOM! Reach one of the N marked tiles within 10 seconds!" shows up, where N is the number of marked tiles.

warning
Only the marked player escapes by stepping on a tile ("You escaped the Doom!"). If time runs out, they take the damage ("The Doom consumed you!"). Stay close to the monster with full health on high levels: a Doom on low health is certain death.

redeemExtra loot

On top of the regular loot, monsters on a high Boss Level roll extra items. Tiers are cumulative: at level 75 the level 10, 25 and 50 rolls also apply, and each roll is independent. On Boss Hunt creatures the item drops in the corpse. On reward bosses, each participant rolls separately into the reward chest.

workspace_premiumSupreme bosses

Each Nemesis area has a supreme boss. To face it, you must have every bestiary of that area completed. Calathea requires all the other areas with a supreme completed. Each supreme has a 7-day cooldown and also scales with Boss Level.

info
The Ethereal, Dreamer areas have no supreme boss and do not count for Calathea, but their bestiaries unlock Boss Level as usual.

tips_and_updatesRules and tips

  • There is no level requirement to enter Nemesis, but even the weakest creatures have 23,500 exp and 55,000 health. Start at Ancient Tombs.
  • Raise your Boss Level gradually: monster damage grows faster than their health, and the level 20, 25 and 45 taints change the hunt a lot.
  • To unlock levels, focus on finishing bestiaries: each completed one is worth +1 level, whatever the area.
  • In a party, agree on the level with the group before pulling. The locked level is always the group's lowest.
  • Extra loot only starts at level 10, with the best tiers at 50 and 75.
